Do you health test the parents?

Temperment and health is our main priority. Before a dog enters our breeding program they must undergo several tests that are important to the breed. Some of the testing includes, Genetics, Temperment, OFA Hips Elbows and/or PennHIP, Patella and Heart, and Structure.

Do you allow breeding rights?

If you are interested in breeding, message us and let’s chat about it! There is a breeding rights fee.

How much should i feed my puppy?

It depends on what size they are. Look at the back of the food bag for measurements! At 8 weeks they will be eating 3-4 times a day (around 8 am, 1 pm, 5 pm.) Sometimes the new environment can cause nervousness and your pup might not want to eat. If this is the case, we recommend getting dry puppy food and soaking it in a little bit of water or try mixing dry puppy food with canned. Be patient with your pup as it gets comfortable with it’s new space.

When can I start taking my puppy to public places?

“All fours off the floor” until they are fully vaccinated! (Typically when they are 16-18 weeks) This will help reduce the risk of them getting parvo.

This doesn’t mean that the pup can’t go anywhere, just be careful about how you expose them before they are fully vaccinated! It’s so important for the puppy to be socialized during this period, just ensure wherever you’re socializing your pup that they are in a safe space. If you want to take it to your family’s house and they have dogs, just make sure their dogs are fully immunised. You can take your pup for a car ride, and you can still take it out into the public carry it or put it in a carrier!

What will my puppy come home with?

Each puppy will be going home with a MLF bag full of our favorite things— cozy saranoni blanket that is scented with their mom and siblings, Victor Dog Food, sheep toy to resemble our farm, Rocco + Roxie Dog treats, Benebone, and Pupford training treats.

They will also be sent home with a folder of their vaccination records, vet clearance, health guarantee, and puppy training suggestions.

Training your puppy:

We believe training is a huge part of dog ownership. We do the first 7-8 weeks of proper puppy development and training. After the puppy goes to their forever home they are eager to learn and ready to be trained. Whether you do it yourself, online, or hire a professional dog trainer, you won’t regret it, and your puppy deserves it! We reccomend Cornerstone Dog Training. Read more about it on our blog, where we talk all things dog training!

How should i start potty training my dog?

The key is to stay consistent, especially while they are young! Take the puppy out the same door each time you let your dog out. Puppies have small bladders and will need to be let out frequently. Start by taking your puppy outside at least every hour from morning until it goes to bed. You may need to get up in the night with it for the first little bit. As it gets older it will be able to hold its bladder longer and will only need to be let out in the morning, after meals and before bed. Stick with it! You got this.

What do i do if my dog is teething?

Kong toys are great when it comes to the teething stage. If your puppy starts nibbling at your fingers or toes while you’re playing, offer your pup a toy instead. If he or she continues to nip at you, stop the play session immediately.
